Keeping First Kids Safe

This Sunday, January 12th, we will begin implementing a new security system in our preschool ministry. If you haven't already registered your child/children go to our homepage, www.fbchurch.com and select the KidCheck logo which is located at the bottom left of the page. Select "Sign-up" and then "I'm a Parent, Guardian." Follow the link "set up your free login account."

You can create your account from the comfort of home, it’s simple and will only take a few minutes. Creating your account before Sunday will help us have a smooth transition, and helps your first check-in go faster so you can get on your way.

Christmas 2013

What a wonderful beginning to our Advent celebration at First Baptist Church. Our First Kids led in the annual 'Hanging of the Green' service on Wednesday evening. Preschool and Children's choirs shared songs they have been practicing all fall. Lopsided halos and smiling faces brought joy to every person in attendance. Thank you parents for making the commitment to have your children with us on Wednesdays.  We love having our little ones participate in worship!

Parents' Night Out

We had a great time with First Baptist Kids Friday night. Our Parents' Night Out ministry is an opportunity for parents' to get a few hours away while their children enjoy a Friday night with friends. Toddlers and infants were lovingly cared for by Ginny and Sandy Cashion and Hannah Garner. The preschoolers had the Family Life Center all to themselves for a night of riding toys in the gym and cookies, pretzels and juice.

 

Older kids in first through fourth grades were treated to Dairy Queen ice cream and time to play at three different parks in New Bern.

Our next Parents' Night Out is planned for November 8th. Hope you can make it!

Route 56

What a great time we had tonight with our fifth and sixth graders! Thanks Eric Cashion for taking the trip with us. We had a blast eating at Andys in Emerald Isle, bowling at MacDaddy's, lots of video games and then the GO CARTS. Best time ever! The rain hit just as the kids and Wade and Eric were taking off. Megan and Sidney drove and screamed for five straight minutes! Great fun with a great group of kids!

 

Bible Presentation

First Graders Receive Bibles

This Sunday, August 25th during the 8:45 Worship Service First Baptist will present Bibles to our first grade students. Boys and girls will receive The Discoverer's Bible, a large print Bible for early readers.
